A new pathway for immigration to Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, the Priority Skills Newfoundland and Labrador program, launched on January 2, 2021, targets highly educated and skilled individuals. Language proficiency: Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5. Test results should be less than 12 months old.
Age: Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
Intent: Candidates should plan to live permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Health Care Sector: Includes roles like Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Psychologists, and Radiation Therapists.
Aquaculture Sector: Jobs like Farming and Feeding Managers, Cage Site Technicians, and Area Managers.

Application Process:

Expression of Interest (EOI) Submission: Candidates complete a questionnaire that assesses language ability, education, work experience, and family connections in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Evaluation and Invitation: Those scoring above 60 points are considered for invitation. High-scoring candidates, especially those drawing employer interest, are invited to apply for the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program without a job offer.
Provincial Nomination Application: Eligible candidates for either the Skilled Worker or Express Entry Skilled Worker category receive a provincial nomination certificate, which can be included in their permanent residency application to the federal government.
Support During PR Process: While awaiting permanent residency, candidates receive support from the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism and access to specialized services, including work permit support letters.
