Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
Overview
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program offers three primary streams for immigration:
- Manitoba Employer Direct Stream & International Student Stream:
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong intent to settle permanently in Manitoba.
- Requires a minimum of 6 months of Manitoba work experience on a Temporary Work Permit.
- A permanent job offer is needed from an employer who couldn’t fill the position with a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident. The job should be full-time and permanent, offering competitive wages.
- Applicants must meet all job requirements, including education, training, licenses, or certifications.
- A stronger employment connection to Manitoba than to any other province is essential.

- Completion of at least one academic year in a post-secondary program in Manitoba, and possession of a post-graduation work permit.
- Currently employed in Manitoba with a full-time, permanent job offer from the employer.
- Skilled Workers with a Connection to Manitoba:
- Past employment in Manitoba for at least six consecutive months, with a signed employer letter and work permit as proof.
- Past education in Manitoba as an international student in an authorized program (excluding language studies), with proof including study permit, academic transcripts, and completion certificate or degree.
- Express Entry Stream for Manitoba Immigration:
- This new sub-stream is for a limited number of MPNP applicants under the federal Express Entry system.
- Candidates are selected from the Skilled Worker Overseas stream with existing MPNP applications.
- Eligibility is based on meeting criteria of at least one federal economic immigration program.
- Selected candidates must submit a full Educational Credentials Assessment and demonstrate sufficient settlement funds.
- Express Entry profile completion is necessary, with details like Express Entry ID and Job Seeker validation codes shared with MPNP.
